I want to post more often, but school has been kicking my ass and indolent tendencies have been making it hard for me to do so.
Anyway, rewind to last weekend. On Sunday, my sister, some of her friends and I drove down to Long Beach to congratulate one of her friends who ran in the 24th annual Long Beach City Bank Marathon half marathon.
I can't think of a better way to celebrate finishing a race than going to Rosco's House of Chicken and Waffles.
I haven't been to a Roscoe's before. Some people love it; others think it's overrated. Our estimated wait time was 25-30 minutes, but they accidentally skipped us so it turned into 40 minutes. Not really a good thing to do to hungry peeps. But our waitress was prompt and we got our food pretty fast.
I figured I'd order the 1/4 fried chicken and waffles. The waffles were soooo good. Roscoe's own mix made the waffle warm and fluffy. Once you top if off with warm syrup, it's gg. The fried chicken was also tasty; crispy skin and tender meat. Roscoe's isn't a fancy restaurant for sure, but it sure quells the hunger.
A true feast, nomnomnom.
